Safe Internet Day

Time for Time Games

We are creating a line of acrostic poem-child rights

Democracy. Children's Rights.

Together with students from other countries, we took part in various activities online: reading children's rights in English, playing various games related to democracy, remembering the rules of polite behavior and school.

France.

The students really enjoyed creating posters and games that would help them get to know different nations, their language, traditions. Students of Šiauliai Medelynas Progymnasium prepared and presented a poster about France, created a puzzle

A presentation about Albania

Our students were assigned with a country by their peers and search for it regarding its capital city, flag, nationality, and map, then they  made a collaborative paper poster. Lastly, one of them gave a short presentation about that country. My students worked hard and made a presenattion about Albania, despite the lockdown because of COVID-19. After presentation my students played the digital game about Albania.

I students' webinar and choosing a Logo

At the first students' webinar we created a collaborative logo of the project. Our students created a word cloud as project logo together typing three words that reflect their ideas, views and expectations from the project using the web2 tool Mentimeter.

Non-digital and digital games

After our students familiarized with the main theme, democracy & children's rights via coding sheets as well as videos and presentations, they played one non-digital game, which is TARSIA, and one digital game which is "Time to climb" made with Nearpod app. Non-digital game was created by themselves and they enjoyed while preparing the game. After preparing they played it and sent us pictures while playing. This way they played and learned about children's rights and democracy.

Posttest

Our last meeting and last game together :)

It is our final meeting(21.02.2021) and final game with the partner schools across many beautiful countries and cities. We evaluated the project, gave a visit to the twinspace reflecting on our project tasks. Then, our students played a final game keeping in mind that it is not the winning that matters but taking part that counts.

We had a great time together celebrating splendid teamwork, hard work, and dedication indeed. Thank you, my dear partners, It is wonderful to have worked with you :)
